As far as I know, in SAP standard delivery the WebUI component that is used to display texts in IC scenario is not the same as the one to display texts in non-IC scenarios. May you please confirm? That could explain the different behavior your are experiencing...
Also in my system the text field in overview page is not really the same as the one you shared in your first message (there is no "Type" dropdown listbox). So I'm wondering if you made any enhancement in this area? What is your CRM version and the component behind "Customer feedback"?
