1855398 - Table Personalization enhancements features

We just upgraded a box to 731 SP08
1. We found 1924635 - Missing text "Ascending" in Table Personalization Popupwhich is in SP10 to solve 1 item as text "ascending" does not show next to radial button.
2. When the personalization table is opened the radial buttons for descending & ascending sit on top of the sort by dop down field, the user has to drag the side of the window to make it wider. I have a message open to SAP
3. Can anyone explain the Fix Column? I lock some columns but I don't see or understand the functionality or intent as I can adjust those on the UI.
