How to alter fonts in a note

Hi All,

I am working on a requirement wherein the user will enter certain text in the text type "Basic Text" of a product. But they require different fonts for different lines, Some need to be bold, some in italics and so on. I tried using HTML tags directly in the text. For example:

<B> Bold Text </>

But it is giving me some strange characters in place of the <, when i use the function module READ_TEXT to read the text. Can anyone tell me how I can change the fonts for different lines directly in the note.
