Once I have got the same development. I have followed the below steps, please check with this. Let me know for further inputs.

1.   Add new field using Append structure of type ‘XXX’ in search
2.   Create BADI implementation for Enhancement spot ‘ES_CRM_RF_Q1O_SEARCH’ and include filter ‘BTQOPP’
3.   Put your logic in BADI implementation – SEARCH method
4.   Add it in WebUI configuration
5.   Remove the operator if required
