Why not do the below (Just an advice!!)
1. Create an EDIT button on view1, clicking on which (an not NEXT button) the data will be populated in view2 and changes can be done for the item details accordingly.
2. Create an OP in View 1 , an NL and an IP in View2. You can set the flag in CuCo in the do_init of view2.
