I have 2 questions..
I want to disclose that I am Java technical guy and new to IPC of CRM. Below are my questions / doubts, please clarify.
1) As per my understanding, SAP CRM server has IPC engine which is used for 2 purposes. a) For writing java routines b) For variant configuration screen. My question is, when we have a pricing routine in R3 system written in ABAP code, why cant we have the same ABAP pricing routine in CRM system as well ? Why Java Routine in CRM system ?
2) When all the screens in CRM Web UI are developed using ABAP, why Java has been used for Variant Configuration section ?
Basically what I want to understand is, when a quotation / sales order can be created in R3 just by using the condition techniques and ABAP routines without IPC concept, why do we need to have IPC in CRM when we are performing same functionality in CRM.
