Installed Base is used to store customers structures and objects, It contains different types of components such as
1. Product component
2. Text component
3. Individual objects
4. Structure Gap
5. customer specific component types
6. and An Installed Base
In an Ibase header contains Category, external ID, description, status (system/user), authorization group, etc. After that components given above.
Both of these requires the partners, address, documents, etc.
These IBase components can be linked to qualification, warranties, and counters.
For creation of an IBase u need to go through following steps in CRM -
1. Create IBase categories
2. Assign Partner (Sold-to-party)
3. Enter Text components
4. Assign warranty to given component with the correct quantity
5. Last assign the individual objects to components
in IBase transaction IB53,
Equipment number (ERP) is same as Individual Object or Object ID (CRM). When you transfer using initial or permanant download.
Individual object contains Object families, attributes, set types of a product.
