In your case, attribute GR_ADDED_DOCUMENTS is getting filled in method CREATE_FROM_UPLOAD of the same class. This method, in turn, is called after pressing "Attachment" button. So, I think you should put a breakpoint there and try to see why the object is initial and if this method is getting called at all.
