Notify IC agent(user) with message on system event

Hi,

My scenario is as follows..

In IC webclient a user triggers an event for a business partner and goes to the next one. The event takes around 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

Now I want to notify the user once the event process is failed on the Web UI page by displaying a message.

So basically the system will trigger this message not any user event.

Is there a way to achieve this.
