Redefining I-getter is not a good solution as there are MANY fields.
Regarding second solution, we thought of this approach before. But there are many views in that page. Also there are few more scenarios ( not only status ) where we need to set only one field in EDIT mode and rest all in READ_ONLY mode. So we thought it will be difficult to maintain different configurations for each.
