I'm not sure if this will help matters, however I have created a custom BUPR extension which was working fine in CRM 7. We have recently upgraded to EHP 2 and now I am getting an issue with my time dependent extension.
Whilst debugging the insertion into the custom table I found that a function is being called BUS_TBZ9_SELECT_SINGLE which reads the table TBZ9 customizing table. This table can be maintained via transaction BUBA.
In this function, it reads the configuration, so for Contact Person relationship BUR001, it retrieves the time constraint as 4. It then checks to see if one of the system components contains CRM, if it does, then for the relationship BUR001 and BUR002 it resets the time constraint value to 0!
This is causing me an issue as my relationship has a time constraint, but the extension wants to set the validity period from 01.01.0001 to 31.12.9999, so fails to insert as the parent relationship is shorter than this period.
I've not checked to see if this function module is called when trying to create a second relationship, but if it is, it would explain why time constraint 4 doesn't seem to make sense.
