Not liking the response but per note 2266984 sorting AET fields with a picklist in a table, we are being told this is the standard feature.
To sort by description, you must do you own enhancement.
So you can create fields in the AET, mark them to be in the search & search results, but they will sort by the key. Wish I would have known in time to get on the CRM 2016 desired improvements.
